Subreport that contains on-demand subreport

I would need an advise from an Crystal 2008 expert.

I have main report that contains 4 tables, each of the tables is actually a sub-report.

I need each of the sub-reports to contain on demand links to another level of sub-report to be able to see detail level data.

So I have 2 levels of subreports.

I did all develpment and it works fine from the 1st level sub-report to 2nd level sub-report.

However when I re-import 1st level subreport to the main report I can see the on demand links are gone. It looks 2 levels of subreports are not supported, but I am really surprised it would be so limitted…

Is there a way to achieve this?

Crystal Reports only supports one level of subreports. Since most of my users just print out the reports, I have not done much with on-demand links.

Thanks, I think I figured a workaround.

I saved 2nd level subreport as a standalone report and used hyperlink to open it from the 1st level subreport. There are options to bind the report parameters. So it seems to work fine.
