I’m doing research on this new BI platform. Therefore, I hope to get to know it deeper for the strengths and weaknesses of it.

Since it hasn’t been released yet, its a bit of an unknown to most of us. There soem roadshows coming up - you should try and attend some of those, speak to you rsales reps etc. There are a few postings about what is in it on this site so have a look there first.

yea…we can always find strengths on the vendors websites, white papers n so on, but we wont know the weaknesses unless we really use it.
any business object users can contibute the weaknesses? 
hahaha, actually its not devil to talk abt weaknesses, its just a reference so that we will know abt that and the software company itself can improve it

Consultants in the UK have the XI 3.0 VMs. I got a bit of feedback from one of them this week, and the person in question was extremely positive. There are still things they don’t like but I was surprised by just how enthusiastic they were. It sounds very much like its going in the right direction…don’t expect a panacea though 
Oh and don’t install the first version you get and then whinge about every little last thing not working
