At my current client I am lucky enough to sit next to a friendly DBA. I was experimenting with a long running schedule today, after several hours I kicked off a second version of it. The original schedule then completed. So, I cancelled the duplicate schedule, knowing full well that the current query it was running would not be killed. The report has 11 queries - each one is tagged “This is Query 1”, “This is Query 2” etc…when I killed the schedule, Query 4 was executing. Imagine my surprise when 20 minutes after I killed the schedule aforementioned friendly DBA said “Query 5 has just started”.
So it looks like the WebI session persists further than I would have expected. NB, that was it, we never saw any further queries.
Thoughts?
