Start on New Page - Odd page numbers only

I am working on a report that will be divided by section and each section mailed. The report will be printed on both sides of the paper. The section length can vary. So I need to make sure that each section starts on an odd page number. Is there an established method for this?

I had thought to fix this by creating a very narrow cell, or one column table, filling the cell with a blank if it was an odd page number or a long string if it was an even page number and using Wrap Text and Row to Row Auto Fit. That would would make a large vertical column on odd pages and force it to the next page.

Apparently Row to Row Auto Fit does not work if Page() is in the formula.

For anyone else trying to accomplish this, I heard back from BO tech support. It is a known issue referred to by Enhancement Request (#4379). It may be fixed in an undertermined future release.

Hi Lee,

I was looking at your post from 2 yrs ago. I have spent some time banging my head against a brick wall on this topic :hb:

I have got a work around to acheive the objective which is to output the report as pdf bursts so each section is a seperate pdf document. Then in explorer you select all the pdf files, right mouse click and print. All the files will go to your default printer and each section will start on a new page.

If you have a fancy printer this has a side benefit of being able to tell the printer to staple each file on collation.

How do you output the report as pdf bursts? I am trying to do this same thing with a report currently in Deski XIr2. I am also able to use Webi if necessary.

Thanks,
Ian.
