Greetings,
Unsure if this is the correct forum or not, as it appears many of these topics relate to use of the SAP metadata tools (which we do not have).
After a year of development, we have accumulated a lot of junk in our staging environments which is no longer used. I would like to compare contents of SQL server sys tables to a set of repositories, with the intent of establishing whether each table is actively used by a job.
I have found the tables defining data sources / tables and the parent-child relationship structures. However, I cannot find where a data source name is actually resolved to the physical SQL instance.database. I suppose I could build a cross-reference by looking at each source in each repo, but I was hoping this would not be needed.
Is anyone running reports like these? I have used the tools in the admin console, but they do not seem well-suited to this kind of reporting.
