Stacked bar chart with line graphs linked to Filter

Hi,

I have a strange requirement

Stacked bar chart with line graphs needs to be displayed which inturn should be linked to a filter component. Based on variables in filter component graphs and lines should be changed.

Environment

  1. Dashboard 4.0 SP5

  2. I will be connecting to universe through query browser which is built on Netezza database

Has anyone worked on this kind of requirement?

If I understand correctly, In web intelligence it is possible, Create a chart and apply input control. Also
try report element.

I’m trying to work this out… do you mean you want a graph (be it line or bar chart or combination) that is controlled by a filter component?

Not used a filter component, but I’ve done it via buttons. Is the attached what you mean?

Hi Debbie,

Thanks for sending the dashboard in my requirement it will be a stacked bar chart and 2 line graphs which will be linked to a filter.

I have done with some work around stacked bar chart with line graph issue i have been facing is how to link these components to filter.

I am trying to implement the same as you. Need a Stacked bar chart, with a line graph integrated.

you can create stacked bar chart and combine line chart by overlaying on it.

The y axis values should be same as for both stacked column chart and line chart.

you can offset legends to show them remove chart title for line chart and un-check horizontal axis labels and vertical axis labels from appearance >> text

To link line graph values to filter (if by filter you mean a combo box or list view) you can use insertion tab and map source and destination to feed selection from chart to a cell in excel and from behavior tab in combo box you can >> Selected Item > type as Dynamic and map Item to the cell where you are inserting chart values
