SSO connection to SAP BW data source -using Windows AD

Hi

I am trying to establish if the SSO connection to SAP BW data source will work if the user Logon Windows AD on the BI Launchpad. ?

Connection created on IDT using the SSO ( Connection to BW data source, users BW credentials will be passed on when user trying to logon webi)

Roles and authorization set on the user ID at the BW system, when the user Logon via BI Launchpad using SAP Authentication it working as expected.

I am now trying to test if I can create an Windows AD alias for the user id and then logon using the Windows AD in BI Launchpad to validate if the Roles and authorization at the BW system works ?

User having a separate password for SAP BW account and Windows AD password. So I presume it does not work since the logon validation on the BW system fails due to the password mismatch.
