SQL Server 2000 Enterprise vs. Standard Edition

One of my customers asked me today if it is possible to change from SQL Server 2000 Enterprise to SQL Server 2000 Standard Edition.

Does anybody know what differences there are between the versions Enterprise and Standard. And if there could be a problem when moving from Enterprise to Standard?

Thanks!

I assume your question is in relation to Business Objects. There is no distinction on which “edition” of SQL Server is supported. Regression testing would be prudent of course, but there should be no impact on your Business Objects installation.

Excellent! I didn’t know this because I only installed BO XI on MSSQL Server 2000 Enterprise and the supported platforms document of BO doesn’t mention the Editions, only MS SQL Server 2000 SP4…

Nice!
