SQL error with MINUS combined query

Using XiR2 on top of Teradata.

When generating a MINUS combined query the entire SQL is enclosed by parentheses. This generates the following error message:

3706: Syntax error: expected something between '=' and the end of the request

Manually removing the parentheses gets rid of the problem, but is there a set up parameter etc. to prevent this?

Strange that UNION and INTERSECT queries work with the parentheses in place.
