SQL Button not available

Hi All,

I am using BOXI Rel 3.1 sp3 and when creating webi reports the SQL button is not
available.

I have access to the db and have access to the CMC, please can you advise?

I have searched here for results but nothing seems to have worked…

View and Edit SQL are privileges controlled under Applications, WebIntelligence ( I think ).

If you don’t specifically grant that, even to Admin, you won’t see it.

Hi Informer30, having access to database has no relationship whatsoever to your access permission of the BusinessObjects application. Such permissions are usually managed by two completely different teams. And any Enterprise user can access CMC, unless it is explicitly denied.

You need to discuss your permission setting with your BusinessObjects Administrator. He or she is in a better position to help you.

The problem is we no longer have a BO Admin, I am in the process of picking up. I used to look after the CMC around 5 years ago, abit out of synch hence the questions…

Please can you advise…

My post had the location in CMC to look for this privilege - try and get in CMC, seems to be first step here.

Sorry, what I meant to say was we no longer have a BO Administrator he has left. So I have been assigned his work.

One of the first things I noticed was the SQL button was greyed out and I used to rely on this to drill backwards for SQL queries.

How do I make this button available?

I can log into the CMC as Administrator

thanks for your input the view/edit sql button in webi is know working…

Under Applications/WEBI when editing rights everything is based around groups, what I am trying to do is the restrict the view/edit SQL button to a select few is that possible without creating a new group?
