6 months ago we added DS_KPIs to update statistics to Solman as we planned to monitor DS jobs centrally. The job ran for up to 30mins and on investigation it is written in a very ‘unusual’ manner! We had to stop using it.
We are now planning an upgrade from 4.0 to 4.2 (about time i know) and are looking to reinstate the monitoring.
Has anyone got experience of the 4.2 version? Is it written in a better way? (I cant see any code until basis guys download it :()
Please let me know of any good or bad experiences on 4.2
Hi Pat, I know it’s off topic, but my current client upgraded to DS 4.2 in January. Their solution provider provided the software and recommended DS4.2 sp3.
So far so good.
However, the solution provider didn’t bother to let us know that there were various patches available and so we have the version of DS that won’t pushdown code if an outer join is using the nvl function and we don’t have any project time to apply software updates.
