Show one color for group of dimensions in charts

I am trying to create a scatter plot with roughly 1200 customers showing. The business requirement is to group them by color, based on a certain performance criteria. I have a variable that puts them into the correct category as “Group A, Group B, or Group C.”

The business requirement is having all those in Group A to show up as one color, Group B a different color, etc.

However, when I place both the group and customer name in the graph it is still showing up as a different color for each customer.

I’d really hate to have to push this out to excel, as this is a “critical” requirement.

Just an idea - maybe you could try an alerter, against the groups you have created?

Can you do an alerter on the color pallete for your charts though? I thought that was for the table values only.

By the way, I’m using XI R3.

Sorry Chris, you are correct.

I can’t think of any other way you could possbly do this, unfortunately.
