We have a requirement to setup either a Real-Time job or a Batch Job as a Web Service on a different Server other than the one current DS Server 4.0 . The current DI server has one Job server and one access server already installed.
What are the minimum requirements needed on this new server other than installing web server (Tomcat) where external vendors can call the web service.
My question is that is it possible for the vendor the make the web service call to this new server which in turn starts the jobs on the current DS server?
The reason for this need is not able to open firewalls (due to security)for the external vendor on the current DI server, but only to this new server…
