Whenever i repoint my reports from the Oracle production database to a dev/test database, the process takes a long time.
My test database has multiple schemeas on it, so first i amend the Options > Data Explorer > Owner LIKE: to be the name of the schema, otheriwse i cant not see the correct tables. Once the connection has been swapped, i then have to update each table to ensure it has the correct owner.
It seems to take about 15-20 mins for the connection to update, then about 5 mins to update each table.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to look to where to speed this process up? I have no idea what it thinks it is doing in the background once i have selected “update”
