Server Port Issue

HI Friends,

Here is the issue.

We have BO Designer installed on the local Machine. When login to the designer, it is trying to communicate to 6400. We do not remember configuring anywhere while installing/ configuring BO on 6400 port. I think the port is 9090. Is there a way to make it communicate with 9090 port?

Can somebody help me figure out the best way to find the Business Objects server port. So that we can use our Designer on our local machine.

A complete solution would be appreciated.

Hi,
While installating Business Objects,the CMS is set up to use default port numbers. The default CMS port number is 6400.

You can check this through CMC->Servers->Select CMS properties.

Please go though the chapter “Configuring port numbers” in BO Administration Manual to Edit Port Numbers.
