Server is not Responding

Hello Everyone,

I tried to create a deski report using a universe in XI 3.1. But i run the report it says “SQL error or connection error”. Then checked the universe connection and it says " server is not responding". I thought the database connection is no more pointing to the universe meaning database account might be disabled.

However when i try to create the same report using web intelligence in InfoView, it worked fine.

Any thought is really appreciated.

Hi

It looks you dont have the TNS Entries posted on your TNSNAMES.ora file for the specific database schema connection. Try to see your TNSNAMES.ora file.

Thanks for the reply,

TNS entries was not posted in tnsname. I did posted tns entries for that database and it working fine now.
