Im trying to schedule a publication with email as destination.
I enabled email tab and filled necessary details in desktop intellignece job server and destination job server.

But still im getting the following error
server error. CrystalEnterprise.Smtp: SMTP_E_COMMAND_NOT_IMPL(502)

can anyone find what error is this ?

Which authentication did you select in the Email SMTP Destination setup screen?

The error message you get means the authentication type you selected is not supported by your SMTP server. If you selected Login, try it with authentication set to None. If you set it to None, try it with Login and supply the SMTP User Name and SMTP Password.

thanks a lot its working.

But i have a question Im trying to send a webi report to my email
with destination format as webi.

Im able to receive the email but there is no webi report.
i tried the same report with destination format as pdf and excel im able to receive report in pdf and in excel file to my email.

Is it like BO XI r2 does not support webi format to be send to an email.?

Webi format cannot be viewed / used outside of Webi. What would you expect to see in your email?

Yep, Webi reports only exist inside the Infoview portal. As such, they can not be attached to an e-mail. If you want to e-mail Webi reports and actually see the report data, you’ll have to pick a different output format than Webi native :slight_smile:

Hi,

Do we required these credentials SMTP username and SMTP password while Authentication is Plain or Login, you mean to say without SMTP credetials it won’t work.please confirm on this…

How you got the SMTP credentials. Did you enter all these credetials in order to work with Send to email action…

Hi All,

I am scheduling a hourly report, where the destination is “Email Recipiants”, the issue is some reports get success and some fail. Attached is the snapshot of the schedule results.

All the schedule are with same details. Please help me out :hb:
