I’m having some trouble understanding how to sent multiple reports in one e-mail to multiple users.
I don’t need anything fancy, like personalized data or anything like that. All I want is 3 Crystal Reports sent to 3 users, exported as excel or PDF. This seems like it should be extremely easy to do, but for some reason, I cannot get it to work. Everything I’ve read, points to Publications, but I really don’t need the personalized piece of it.
You can use Publications but treat it like a normal schedule - you can just fill in email addresses as if it was a schedule but the upside is multiple docs…you don’t have to do any of the dynamic recipients stuff.
I just gave it a shot and it didn’t seem to work. I’m not sure what I’m missing here, but it says 0 recipients processed. I’ve tried this multiple times with no success.
Have you been able to successfully get it to work?
Not sure where you could be going wrong. So emails via schedules work? Do you have a separate AJS for Publishing that doesn’t have the destination bit set up for emails?
So, I was able to get it to work by adding one recipient to the enterprise recipients list. I then added multiple people in the “To” field in the “Destination” area.
Previously, I had only added the names in the “Destination” are and not added any recipients in either Enterprise or Dynamic.
Is this expected behavior? I guess I’m not understanding the purpose of of needing to enter any enterprise recipients?
That bit is not intuitive. It works differently if you are an administrator - automatically subscribing you to the publication - which achieves the same as what you have done. Frankly its badly implemented - I would just be happy that it works… 8)
