I have a crosstab which spans across few pages horizontally. I want to display the section headers in all the pages across. Is there any way I can do it? I am using 6.1b.

If I remember, right click on the table and go to format table. There should be a spot there for headers check box that spans for all pages. Let me know if you donāt see it and Iāll have to look it up when I get back to my machine.

Hi
Why donāt you just copy your section header and paste it on the 2nd page on the same horisontal level as the 1st one?

Probably because you cannot always tell how many pages across you gonna get with a crosstable?

Yes My report spans across 50 pages approximately horizontally. Is there anyway I can set the cross tab property so that when the page breaks the remaining values will flow to the next page down instead of across? Spanning across has lot of problems. Section headers are not repeating horizontally. When one of the section has only 50 values and the other section has 100 values then the first section has 25 (with 2 values per page) empty pages horizontally.
Thanks in advance for any help.

How many rows do you have? Try rotating the crosstabā¦

If I rotate the report has maximum of five pages. But users do not agree to change the format of this report.
Thanks,

I think there should be an enhancement for repeating the section header on every page.or is it already existing:?:Need to open up my BO and check.

Greetings,
For crosstab headers to appear on every page, follow these steps.
For section headers to repeat on each page, follow these steps.
You will see other settings there as well.
Is this what you are looking for?
Hope this helps,
Have a great night.

Hi Mathew,
The section header option repeat on every page will work only if the crosstab fits in one page horizontally. If the crosstab expands to the next few pages horizontally the section headers are not repeated on horizontal pages. I have pasted the section header manually in every page now.
Moreover I am getting lots of blank pages when the number of values of the column on which crosstab is based varies from section to section.
I havenāt seen any options in BO 6.1b to manage this.
Thanks,
Saraswathi

Well, thereās one solution. Add a row on top of your crosstab. The far most left you fill with your text/variable, the ones to the right you format out by removing the borders/pattern. Then go to the formatproperties of your crosstab, tab āPage Layoutā. In the Page Break Across-section, apply āRepeat header on every pageā and your done. Good luck.

Hi Saraswathi
Section Header will appear only once for single section it cannot be repeated.
And still if you need a title that to be repeated on every page of your section you can do as follows
Method-1(will satisfy your need)
Create a Variable-Diemension
Give the name of the variable as your section header
Drag the variable to the top-tip-end of your crosstab
It will work out
method-2(not exact to your need)
Click the page layout button
create a cell with your heading
Drag it above the header
Both the method is implemented in my attachment .check out

Problems with crosstab with mutliple pages across are, Section headers do not repeat on pages across and there are too many blank pages when the number of pages across vary section to section. BO suport has acknowledged these bugs and there will be an enhancement soon.
Thanks,
Saraswathi.

Hi Saraswathi,
I am facing the same issue in one of the reports that you had earlier. Were you able to get rid of blank pages. Please let know if you have any solution in mind for this issue.
Thanks
