Search option not working after upgrade to 4.1 BI Launchpad

Hi,

We recently upgraded the content of our 3.1 InfoView to 4.1 Bi Launch Pad. We are now having an issue with the Search option in BI Launch Pad. We intermittently get an error saying “An error occurred while searching: A Java io.IOException occurred” or the error may be “The String is too Generic.” Other times the Search option works as it is supposed to. Is there something we need to do? I added a screenshot of a couple of the errors. Thank you for any help!

we are in BO 4.1 SP4 and still testing is going on. the same problem we are also getting. Try once with searching string inside double quotes (“”
) and also please have a look on below links might be helpful

I too am having fun and games with Platform Search in BI4.1 (SP2 Patch 3). Is there a consensus on Scheduled vs Continuous? The situation we have is that Continuous was using and continuing to use a lot of disk space. So following investigations and advice I toned down what was indexed and changed from continuous to scheduled.
