Seagate Info 7 - Folder Security

Hi,

I’m currently upgrading a Seagate Info 7 install to Crystal Enterprise XI (BOXI).

I’m trying to determine whether the folder security within the Info Desktop can be exported from the system.

I’ve looked through the cinfo.mdb system database, and can determine the folders (within CI_INFOOBJECTS table), determine the groups (CI_GRPINFO), but can’t make the link between the two to determine which groups have access to the various folders.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

The current Import Wizard will only go back to CE8.5 not SI7. So you may have to migrate to CE 8.5 and then to XI. Along the way, Yes you can import the folder security.
