Scheduling with Calendar + Custom Event

Hi,

We have users that schedule some reports based on a calendar as well as based on a custom event (manual trigger). The idea is that the users want such scheduled reports to be refreshed on (or after) a day specified in the calendar but the users also need to check data in reporting databases and only when all data is loaded there and data quality checked, only then they trigger the custom event.

It seems that once the day in calendar is reached, the scheduler waits for some period of time for the custom event to be manually triggered by users. If the event is not triggered, the scheduler set the ‘next run time’ of the recurring instance of the report to the next run day selected in the calendar.

Do you know how long is the waiting period during which scheduler waits for the custom event to be triggered? Can the period be configured anywhere?

Hi Marek,

I also myself run into same behaviour. It seems once the report is trigerred on a calendar day+custom trigger (manually) it move into the next available calendar day.

I actually would like to be able to custom trigger (manually) several times as data is being load during a giving day base on selected calendar days.

Please do let us know if you found a workaround.
