Scheduling error

I have a a scheduled job (in the PM schedule tab) to refresh metrics nightly. Last night I got an error, the refresh failed and in the view detailed information section, it says:

I was able to manually refresh everything just now and didn’t make any configuration changes…

Any ideas what caused this error or how I can prevent it from happening in the future?

How long has it been working successfully? I have seen issues where if the number of instances, of the AFScheduler is large, then it sometimes causes issues. For this i have added a instance limit of 200.

Can you reschedule for now? Can you create a new rule and schedule it?

The Rules Engine Scheduler is much better then previous versions, but still ocassionally has some issues.

When you say ‘instance’ do you mean each time the job ran? In other words if the job ran 100 times, you have 100 instances.

When I look in the CMC under the history tab, I see all the “Instance Times” - there are 249.

I also see an option in the CMC under history for limits, maybe I’ll try out your suggestion.

Thanks

I tried to schedule a new job a few times, and they failed.

Next I tried changing the instance limits to 200 in the CMC. When I scheduled a job again, it worked this time. I’ll have to do some more testing, but thanks for the suggestion, I think it worked.

After some more testing, it looks like the scheduler is still failing some of the time. In addition to the previous error I also get:

I was able to create a new rule and schedule it to run now.

The odd part is its not consistent.

I also have a clustered environment, not sure if that makes a difference.

Keep failing running the AFSchedule program in XI 3.1 service pack 2.
BOE 12.1
Windows 2008 server R2.

Error: Could not authenticate using the provided operating system credentials.

I checked Run Scripts/binaries in Programs Objects Rights in CMC.

Still it fails.
