is it possible to schedule a webi report in XI R2 with the option calendar? if yes, what are the possible ways?

Yes, and your system administrator can set up all sorts of calendars. What specifically do you want it to do?

r we able to do it or set it from reporting side? or only from the CMC side?
requrirement is to schedule the reports twice a month,
so do i need to setup the calendar for the same, and tht too from CMC side, right?

Correct - the administrator manages calendars.

Of course, unless you are doing something wacky like tying them to the phases of the moon, I’ll bet you can do this with the existing scheduler.
Second and fourth Friday? Set up one schedule for the second Friday of the month, and another schedule for the fourth Friday.
15th and last day? Set up one schedule for the 15th, and another for the last day of the month.
1st and 15th, except when one of those falls on a non-business day? Okay, you got me, that one probably needs a calendar. This is pretty much the only business case where I’ve seen that, though.

That can be done with one schedule, if you set up new calendar using “Generic Monthly by day of Week”
