Schedules to Unmanaged Disk; No such file or directory erro

When schedules are sent to unmanaged disk, they fail with the following error: destination directory error. CrystalEnterprise.DiskUnmanaged: No such file or directory

We have 3 servers in a cluster, all of them have the same drive mappings (V: ) to another servers file directory. These mappings are part of the startup of the servers (Win 2003 SP2). These work fine until the mapping is broken. Even thought the drive mapping is defined as persistent, Business Objects does not “acknowledge or find it” until the server(s) have been rebooted. When on the servers, I see the directories and can copy files to the directories. I tried adding my userid/password (I’m an admin on all servers involved) to the schedule and it still fails.

Does anyone know if BO is cacheing windows drive mappings? or have a better solution than to reboot the servers?

Thank you for your assistance!

Try a UNC path instead. I ran into similar issues a few years ago.

Thank you that works. We decided not to go that route in the past, probably worried about users going directly to the folders. However, the issues we’re having using drive letters make UNC path the way to go.

Thanks again.
