I’m not sure if this is something that can be done. I have a Crystal Report that I am scheduling Publications in BOE XI 3.1. In order to save the file to the appropriate file location, I am using a Dynamic Recipient that is pointing to another Crystal Report. Then I’m using the placeholder %SI_OWNER% in the Directory field (this is thanks to another post I found).
Now, I’m wondering if can use this same concept to dynamically update a parameter of a report. The Crystal Report has a parameter called Measure ID and is setup to run for one measure at a time. I created a report that has a list of all of the measure ids available. Under Personalization, I left the parameter value blank and selected the field from Dynamic Recipients for that parameter. The report destination is a File Folder. I was hoping that when the report ran, it would run a report for each of the measure Ids specified in the Dynamic Recipients. Can you use a Dynamic Recipient for a parameter value?
