SCCM log files on BO servers too large

We’re having an issue, and I was wondering if anyone else had run into it before.

Our IT group does continual audits of our servers using Microsoft’s SCCM tool. The average app server generates about 70 events in the audit log. Our BO servers are generating over 5000. Unfortunately, they’ve configured the SCCM to reject any audit files over 5MB for space reasons. This means that our servers are constantly being reported as “non-compliant” because they have no audit logs.

We’ve opened a ticket with SAP and I’m working my way through notes and documentation. But I know that asking here often produces much faster and more helpful results.

Well, we’ve narrowed down the culprit to the fact that SAP installs all the language packs, regardless of what languages you pick during the install process. Which means each component has 24 copies in the registry.

Now we just have to figure out how to uninstall the extraneous language packs, or find some way to hide them from the SCCM audit.
