Save file with data from Xcelsius

Hi all,

I was trying to create a scenario and share it, but Xcelsius 2008 has only Local Button. So now I am trying to export (with connection refresh button) data to any local file (creating a file also) using XML Data Connection.

I don´t know if it is possible and I have read almost anything about it.

Actually, I want to input data into a file and then load it from another machine. I have found a site that do this kind of thing but I need tomcat and I would like to do it in local and not in web server.

If anybody knows about it, please tell me.

Thank you in advanved.

You should be having BOE in your LAN Area and there must be BO installed on which you want to share your Xcelsius file. Now perform following steps:

Save Your Xcelsius File in Your BO and put in one folder.
Now Perform the steps on another system which I explained in Word File with Snapshots.

Hi,

you can use the xmlmap connection.
that mean you can edit a xml-file within excel and load this data into xcelsius, so you do not need a bo-platform or a tomcat.

best regards

There’s a very good link in one of my posts in this forum to a website that explains step by step how to generate an XML map from a spreadsheet.
