Hi guys
I have made some changes to an existing Dashboard which someone else created. Now how do I save it as I am not sure?
as a desktop, Mobile or both or as a Dashboard object ?
How do I tell it how was it saved before as ?

Is it intended to be used on mobile devices like iPads? And by “intended” I mean specifically designed with that purpose in mind, not just “oh, yeah, someone might want to someday”. If so, save it as Mobile. If not, save it as Desktop.
Ninety-nine times out of a hundred, you’ll want to save is as Desktop. Saving it as Mobile changes some of the functionality so that it can run without Flash being an issue. Some of the connection and component types are not usable in Mobile. So unless you have a specific requirement to make the dashboard mobile-friendly, I wouldn’t do it.

Some of the connection types not available! As far as I know, only UNX is supported on Mobile. So like Lugh says, unless you are designing for Mobile, do not save as Mobile
