SAP SQL Anywhere or Sybase IQ for CMS/auditing

Hi,

Does anybody have an experience with using either SAP SQL Anywhere or Sybase IQ databases for CMS (system) database and for auditing in case of a large enterprise installation of a BI 4.1 platform? If yes, can you share pros and cons, performance, or any details that you can?

Thank you.

Ive done a couple of SQL Anywhere deployments and it seemed relatively stable, but my only issue is when it goes wrong, its difficult to find any information to fix. I also moved one of my own VM`s (from one host to another) with BI4.1 on with a SQL Anywhere backend and it ceased to work for no reason! I did have an install tank at a customer site once when using SQL Anywhere, so I go to a point where I refused to use it.

Would prefer using MySQL if they didn`t have the usual suspects (MS\Oracle).

I noticed that the log files grow quickly with SQL Anywhere so you have to deal with that. I’m talking like 10 GB after only a couple months of very light use.
