when is the next version coming (4.0?) and do you have any info on the changes?

what i’m wondering most is, will it be some improvements or a full re-design based on BW extractors.

I have forwarded your question to the proper people. One thing I know for sure, Extractors are too narrow and too BW focused to be used in RapidMarts. So rather than using the ABAP program the Extractor does represent and then make our own extensions, removing things we don’t need and adding all the many fields that are missing, we better use DataServices to generate another ABAP program doing the same thing basically, but tailored towards the RapidMart data model and use case.
