We are migrating our old DI (XI 3.1) and BOBJ environments to newer version and new landscape looks like as below -
Server 1 (Red hat Linux) - IPS (4.1 SP6) with DS (4.2 SP4)
Server 2 (Windows 2012) - BIP (4.1 SP6) without clustering with IPS and any EIM APS patch.
Currently, all of the DI batch jobs are scheduled through BOE scheduler as after batch job completion we need to trigger the WeBI reports.
To achieve same functionality in new environment, we tried to setup CMS of BIP into DS Management consol under CMS connections (it defaulted to IPS CMS and we tried to overwrite it with BIP CMS). After overwriting the values, if we click on TEST, it shows success but when we try to save (Apply) the change we get “Access denied to Data Services application. (BODI-3011017)”.
Ideally, we would like not to cluster these servers. So questions are -
(1) Is it even possible to point DS to BIP CMS without clustering or without installing DS APS piece on BIP server?
(2) How do we get the new CMS value in DS Batch job configuration window? Because, it looks like by default it shows the IPS CMS.
