SAP BW as a Target - Configuration?

Hi all

What exactly do I have to configure in order to load SAP BW with Data Services? As far as I understand I need to do the following tasks:

  • Install SAP GUI on Data Services Job Server
  • Install provided SAP Functions (located in …\DS_install_dir\Admin\R3_Functions\transport) on the SAP Application server
  • configure a SAP BW user --> which permissions does this user need to have?
  • configure a SAP BW External Source Programm
  • configure an RFC Server in the Data Services Management Console
  • create an InfoSource in SAP BW
  • Import Meta Data in Data Services

Do I need to do all those things, or do have lost anything?

SAP functions are not required.
Building the job and dataflow, create an SAP Infopackage is missing.

Is the SAP GUI a requirement on production DI environment for BW load?

Is the SAP GUI a requirement on production DI environment for SAP ECC interface assuming Execute Preloaded option is used in production?
