SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 IIS & AD - Windows configurat

Hi together,

System-Information:
SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.0 SP2 Patch10, Microsoft Server 2008 R2 64 Bit, IIS 7.5.
Everything works fine but I have to configure an AD- authentication (without kerberos).

The firs problem is that IIS does not work??? and
the second problem is that I don’t know the steps to configure an AD- authentication in SAP BI 4.0???
I have done it before in a XI3.1 landscape.

Why IIS does not work in BI4.0??
Which steps have I to configure an AD- authentication ( without kerberos)

Hi together,

I have posted this question for few days but I haven’t any answer.
Is it possible that BO 4.0 doesn’t support IIS?
I’ve heard that, it is supported only with SharePoint. Is that correct?

Have you looked at the PAM available at service.SAP.com/PAM ?

I’m not 100% sure (because all of my 4.x environments are using the TOMCAT Default) - but I think that IIS only supports the Web Application Container Server (WACS)…and the WACS doesn’t support Kerberos…but Kerberos is the only method of setting-up WinAD Single-Sign-On currently in 4.x.

I advise my clients to AVOID the WACS - because it doesn’t have enough options for “customizing” the Lanchpad (ie. InfoView).
