SAP BI 4.1 SP1- Users unable to edit reports in favorites an

Hello,

We have installed SAP BI 4.1 SP1 in our environment.The installation was successful.

I have created a new group " test" and added few users to this group. I have given View on Demand,Schedule,View access level permissions to this “test” group in the Root folder(Manage > Top Level Security > All Folders).
Users are able to copy the reports to their favorites folder but they are unable to modify them. Modify option appears but on click on it the report again opens in the reading mode not in the design mode. Please let me know what others permissions is required for the user to edit the reports in the favorites and Inbox.

Try to give full rights to webi app for one of the users and check if he is still having this issue.

I am having this same problem. If you were able to solve it, I’d be interested in knowing how.

We are running BI 4.1 sp 5. We did a basic installation, and I also granted the user FULL control over Webi. User’s still cannot create any Web documents in my favorites. What’s funny is they can add other documents like MS Word with no errors.

Please, describe exact work flow and exact error message.
Is this related, maybe, to the user not having access rights to the data source (universe as well as universe connection)?

I’m in 4.1 SP2 and found this post extremely helpful. About half way down page, post from mgrackin.
