Anybody know anything about pre-made universe to sit on top of SalesForce.com? There was a press-release from two years ago making a big deal out of the partnership between BO and Salesforce (http://www.businessobjects.com/news/press/press2003/part_salesforcedotcom_17062003.asp), but I’ve been searching for information and can’t find anything else about it. I’ve heard that there was a universe that was put together (either by BO or Saleforce or both), but can’t find anything about it either.
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Did you ever get your hands on this?? We are just starting our SF implementation and one of the things I have to do is build a universe onto a copy of the SF database. If there was already one created, that would ROCK!!
Also, does anyone have experience using SF Mashups and BOBJ reports??
Unfortunately, no. No one from BO or Salesforce was ever able to provide anything premade for us. We never ended up building a universe for it either, so I’m really not sure what our sales team is doing for reporting in Salesforce.
Its important to note that the driver will use a system account. if you need to pass the authentication of the user logged in to get their data based on their roles and rights we have a solution for that at launchworks.com
