Rotate Table Causes Two Pages

Hi,

I am creating a report using DESKI XIR2, the report contains a section, with the section being a dimension object and which resides in a table. I have then gone along and added to this section two more tables.

One of the tables I have rotated and when I do this the report now takes up two pages wide, there is no columns or objects or items on the second page. I can make the table smaller, even though it is well inside the page margins, which makes it goto one page again. If I was to make the table larger again it would goto two pages.

I am also experiencing a similar problem with the second table, this is normal with the heading at the top and rows underneath, with the other table rotated, this table can not be too wide other wise it creates a second page, even though the table is no where near the margin and no data goes onto the second page.

Has anyone else experienced this problem before and perhaps point me in the direction of getting it fixed?

I have included a screenshot, this shows the second table (bottom one in the picture) creating the second page across even though there is nothing on it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try removing the corner cells in header and footer of your report. I guess the width of one of the cell is large, hence getting blank second page…
After removing the corner cells, if you get only one page then try reducing the width. :slight_smile:

No this didnt work, and it wouldnt have worked as the problem only occurs when I rotate a table.

If all the tables where in the normal orientation (Headers at top, rows underneath) I have no issue and can make use of the entire page.

I have done some more reports and have found that the problem isnt only limited to reports with pivoted tables. I have created a new report and inserted a blank cell for the heading. When the option “Repeat on Every Page” and Horizontal Alignment=Centre, the blank page is created.

In the previous report, I was using the repeat on every page and centre accross the page. If I was to make the page alignment Upper Section and make it sit in the center of the report there is no blank page created.

If anyone is aware of a hotfix to resolve this it would be greatly appreciated, otherwise now I know what causes it I will make sure I dont use this combination.
