Rights issue in BO XI 3.0 for favorites folder

Hello,

We have requirement such that user should open the report from public folder but should not save in public folder but he can save in his favorites.

I achieved the above rights. But once the report goes to his favorites, he can edit the query he can shedule the report as well as when he right click it he can add crystal reprot from local system. when he right click in favorites under new he can add hyperlink, publication etc.

I need to remove those access from his favorites folder too.

I gave him denied rights on personal folders in CMC, i gave him rights on user and groups in CMC as well as i modified the access level and denied rights but still in favorites he can schedule,edit the report. As well as he can add crystal report to his favorites.

Can anyone tell where i need to give him rights.

Did you manage the rights the user itself has on his personal folder?

Thanks for the reply.

I applied the advanced rights on personal folder (parent folder) in which i denied schedule or edit query etc. I think if i applied on parent folder the same rights should applied on below folders.

You need to check following:
1.User rights for the particular user ( advanced settings)

2.businessobjects Application in cmc - Infoview and apply advanced rights and check rights for Everyone group.

3.To make sure clicl Check user rights which will list the entire list of rights

4.make sure there is No Access at Everyone Group.

Check this Save Public Documents in Personal folders but deny saving...
