Right to Export Universe

Hai

I had a user with Administrative previllages.

But while opening Designer and exporting the Universe to BOXIR2 repository it is
saying

"You Do not Have Right to add objects to folder ‘/’ "

can any one say what is wrong

Double check rights your user has on the universe folder …

Check whether the user has "Add objects to the folder’ right under CMC > Universes rights.

Add objects to the folder’ right under CMC > Universes rights. it is enabled(Granted)

Sory double check. I mean check the right add objects to the folder for that group on the universe folder where you want to export your universe

did you figure this out, i am using the administrator account and i have given the rights to add objects to the folder ( top level security for the universe) but still i could not export the universe.

Environment : BO XI 3.1

CMC Home> Universes> Select required universe folder

Give the security right to the user

Content >Folder:Add objects to the folder

I have given Full control for all the folders (top level security) for both Administrator Group and Every one Group ( just to make it work initially;) still i could not able to export the universe. I checked for “Add folders…” rights too ,it says its granted.

(Note: Even i have tried with “Advanced” and given all the options but i could not., then i have given Full control to the Temporary Storage but in vain…)

So you made sure you have complete access to the folders, can you check inthe applications->Designer and see (i would think admin will have full control) but just to make sure “Check User rights”.

I apologize for the belated reply; I checked all the rights (even opened a case with BO SAP support ) but everything was fine in the security.

The issue was fixed once i uninstalled and re-installed the client tools
