I’ve installed Rich Client on a users laptop. When I have come to log in to the BO server the log in keeps failing.

I had a simliar issue once and after running Rich Client as an administrator I was able to log in and authenticate the license.

However, logging in as the administrator didn’t work in this instance.

There are no issues logging into Webi and the CMC so the laptop can connect to the server.

Anyone understand what Rich Client is trying to do when logging in for the first time and authenticating the license?

Is it trying to write something to the registry or modify a parameter somewhere?

It sounds like a firewall issue. Rich client does not connect using the regular HTTP/HTTPS ports.
