reresh rights for the group everyone

Hi,

Facing a strange problem :hb:

any user under the group Everyone is not been able to refresh reports under the publc folder.thay can view it but can’t edit the data provider or refresh the report.While refreshing the report that are getting the error:
Your security profile does not include permission to refresh Web Intelligence documents. (Error: WIS 30253

have given the connections for that universe to Full control for the group’everyone’ as well at the universe level also the access right have been given:Full control

Any help in this regard is highly appreciated

Look at the security settings on the Web Intelligence application and on the folder.

the folder level of the report is set at advanced where all the controls have been given except ‘delete’ and ‘delete instances denied’.

Only if at the folder level access for the everyone is given’Full control’.Then only it can refresh the reports.But with the full control access the delete right is also given which is not required.

How to look at the security settings at the Application level.
please provide more info.

What version are you running?

Assuming you are using XI 3.0 or 3.1 then you need to give them these rights:

Content --> Desktop Intelligence
Refresh List of Values
Refresh the report’s data

Content --> Web Intelligence
Refresh List of Values
Refresh the report’s data

Application --> Desktop Intelligence
Refresh Desktop Intelligence Document
Refresh List of Values

I include refresh list of values because it is needed if your report has prompts that use listed values.
