Request Entity too large error

Hi,

When webi reports are downloaded as excel in edit(Java panel) mode, the browser is throwing " Request Entity Too Large" error.

The URL is exactly 2083 characters in length - the limit for IE (not sure if IE is truncating this). Is there any setting in browser or at Tomcat level that can be made to accomodate such large URLs? Or is there a way to reduce the cookie size?

Edit: Issue is present even for empty excels -so I am guessing nothing to do with file size.

Are you sure the browser is throwing the error and not the web server?

That is something i did think of. But if it works in IE6, then why not in IE8?
Anyways let me do some more checks on the webserver side.
