Repository v.1.5 upgrade to v.5.0

We have a test repository v.4.1.5 which we have upgraded to v.5.0. Before the upgrade, we made a copy of v.4.1.5 repository. Now we want to add more universes to the v.4.1.5 repository and repeat the upgrade process. We deleted the BOMAIN.key from LocData, logged into Supervisor v.4.1.5 as GENERAL with SUPERVISOR as the password and run the safe recovery to create the BOMAIN.key to point to the backup copy of v.4.1.5 repository. I just want to verify how BusinessObjects know where the repository is to create the BOMAIN.key. We updated the db2mvs4.sql file with the correct owner and database and tablespace name. We verified the db2v5.sbo file with the parameter external pointing to the db2mvs.sql. Does BusinessObjects pick up the information from those file to create the BOMAIN.key? After we created the key file, we were able to log into Supervisor and Designer, but when we tried to create universes, we kept getting SQL error 803. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks.

Lucia,

What version of BusObj are you using to access the v415 repository? It’s my understanding that v5 software will not work with a v4 repository.

If you are using a v4 repository, try getting a fresh copy of objects.lsi.
