Is it Possible to Query the BusinessObjects Repository and Build Reports?

Hi,

It depends on which BO version you use and what kind of information you want to extract from the BO repository.

You can create reate reports based on Audit repository. However, you can’t build reports based on system repository, which stores metadata of objects, such as reports, programs and instances. But you can query these information by using BOE SDK as the same way you are using with Query Builder.

Hi Marek,

I want to extract Object Name, Folder Path, User Name, Group Name from BO Repository by creating a report. Database is Oracle, is it possible? please let me know.

Rakesh asked the question, Me too have the same requirement from customer, while searching it in BOB I got this thread.

I am using BOXI 3.1 SP2, Oracle 10g Database.

CMS sdk is the only option…

Have a look on the BOBdownload area could be useful …

I am using BO XI R2.

And wanted to create a report which displays information like. which user used which report. Is he refreshed or just viewed and how many times he accessed that report.

Those info are only available within the audit database not within the CMS.
