report with link to open a specific directory

hello guys,

Is it possible to make a link on a report that opens a specific directory/map on the computer? I tried with hyperlinks but can’t find a way to make it work.

Yes and no (found out this the hard way). If you are running Crystal Reports locally (and not through a web based viewer). Then it should work. If you are hyperlinking to a network drive then you probably will need to provide the full UNC path.

But the companies that provide browsers (Microsoft, Google, Modzilla) have decided that it is a security risk (I understand why) to open a file from a browser hyperlink. So it is not possible when Crystal Reports is opened in a browser (BI Enterprise).
