which BO / webi error number is linked with "'report viewer error " you have ?
search in BOB about this number.
Maybe it is due to NT rights user and it canno’t succed installing report viewer plugin…

most reports can been shown, except some of them can’t. There are lots of data in these reports. How to set in Webi server?

Has anyone else run into this and/or found a resolution?
We are also running into this with some full client reports (have not yet identified any pattern as to which reports are exhibiting this issue).
Note that no error codes or numbers are linked to this error. It looks as if the report is opening and then we get the big red X and the message ‘Report Viewer Error’.
It seems to be occuring only when using the ActiveX viewer (the viewing option is set to Enhanced Document Viewer). If we switch to HTML only we are able to open and view the report.
We are running the .JSP version of 6.5.1, SP2.

Hi all. I’m replying to my own post with a fix! No sooner did I post this than we were able to find the cause and remedy it
As it turns out, the impacted reports had the ‘Fit to Page’ print setting. In order to effect this, the Webi server needs a print driver [which in turn requires the print spooler service to be enabled]. Once we enabled the Print Spooler service and installed a print driver this issue went away.
This issue apparently dates back to Webi 2.5.2.
Hopefully this will help someone else out there…

Just to help others who might still be working in Stone ages as we do (using 6.5)
We had the same issue “Report Viewer Error” and everything was fine. The Print spooler service, printer was setup and reports were not using “Fit to Page” setting.
We noticed that few reports were published with tabs in “Structure view”. We changed them to normal view and re-published them. It worked for us.
