remove node from bo cluster

Hi,

Newbie to bo admin, I would like to get advices on how to remove a node from a bo cluster.
In the startup tab of Central Configuration Manager of node 1, I can see the other cluster node in remote cms servers section.
At the bottom of the screen, there is a button Remove.
Is this “remove” sufficient to remove the node 2 and disable the cluster?
(The node 2 that i want to remove is now stopped and is not accessible).

-BO server version = 3.1
-# nodes in cluster = 2
-both nodes run on w2k3 sp2

Hi,

You should go to the CCM of Node 2 which you want to delete. Choose SIA of node 2 and click on delete, you will be asked to asked to login to the cluster. Upon logging in, node 2 will be deleted.

Sorry for the late answer and thanks for this info.
Removing the node is part of a bigger process and I’ll post the result as soon as I get it.

I am facing a similar issue here, but not entirely the same, so was wondering if you managed to get around this problem?

Hi CalleT74,

I solved the issue with a workaround to get rid of the cluster issue:
create a new bo server and fully import one of the bo cluster node without the option “import server groups” in the import wizard menu. See my post “copy data from another data source - server name not correct”.
