Refreshing/replacing/repointing Excel Datasource AFTER sending to colleague's BI inbox

Hi folks

I’ve made a report in WEBI using an Excel file uploaded to my favourites folder. I’ve sent to my colleague’s BI inbox where he can see the report. He cannot change or replace the data source however.

Is there a way to repoint to a local one on his favourites folder (we’ve tried, without success)? Is there any other alternative other than rebuilding the report again on his side?

Appreciate any guidance that you may offer!

I tried to replicate your situation and was able to update the Excel data source location.

Does that not work for your colleague?

Did he save a copy of the report to his favorites or other location where he has modify permissions?

I will check folks, thanks for the replies. Could be an internal company restriction on the platform. Will report back!
