Recalculate Lineage and Impact Analysis

Hi folks,

I have my lineage and impact analysis configured to run with BO Enterprise XI r2. The problem is that the tree on the left side for the BOE-system is not correct. I changed some folder names and the update takes no effect on the tree inside the metadata reports. There are also some universes and reports missing inside the tree.

Is there a way to restart the cms collection (empty all the information and gain the information completly again), so that the information is not updated?

Any other idea I can do to get the complete correct information?

Is dropping and re-creating the metadata repository not sufficient?

Perhaps a less brute force method…

  1. Go the the $LINK_DIR\ext\cmsCollector\conf folder
  2. Remove the value between tags

I’m told by BO support that this will force the collector to do a complete refresh.

I’m gonna try this out…

Last time it ran successfully, but a lot of reports were missing… No errors in the log file… It just skipped a lot of stuff.

Any ideas ?
