Ranking Issue in WebI

Hi All,

Regarding ranking, I am having issues with web intelligence report. I have applied Rank on Amount. I have created one variable “Rank(Amount)”. This variable has been displayed in the report.
Please find the below details.

Rank Customer Name Amount
1 adff 600
1 ggsdg 600
3 adaa 300
3 fgfgf 300
5 gfhfgh 200

but we need as below:

Rank Customer Name Amount
1 adff 600
1 ggsdg 600
2 tytytry 300
2 adaa 300
3 gfhfgh 200

please let me know u r comments.

You require a so called DENSE ranking, you might have to do this at the database/universe side instead.

Would Dense ranking at the universe level also apply to ranking within a rank so that we have top 10 products and need to find of those top 10 purchases who were the top 5 buyers

I am able to get the first level rank in the table but cannot segregate or sum on the 2nd level rank.

Can this be done in the report or again, ad a Dense Ranking?
